Account System
Duck Protocol uses a unique account system designed for maximum privacy:
- Account Identifier: Each account is assigned a randomly generated 16-digit number
- Authentication: This 16-digit number serves as both username and password
- No Personal Data: No personal information is required or stored for account creation
- User Responsibility: Users are responsible for securely storing their 16-digit account identifier
Payment Information
The only information we temporarily retain relates to payment transactions:
- Retention Period: Payment transaction data is stored for exactly 20 days
- Purpose: This limited retention allows users to recover their accounts if they lose their 16-digit identifier
- Automatic Deletion**: All payment data is automatically deleted after 20 days
- Security: Payment data is encrypted and stored securely
Data Sharing and Disclosure
We do not share, sell, or disclose any user information to third parties, including:
- Government authorities or law enforcement
- Marketing companies or advertisers
- Analytics services
- Other users or third parties
Technical Note: Due to our privacy-by-design architecture, we do not log or store user activity data, making it technically impossible for us to disclose information we do not possess.
Children's Privacy
Duck Protocol does not knowingly collect any information from users under the age of 13. If we become aware that a user under 13 has provided us with any information, we will immediately delete such information.
Security
We implement appropriate technical and organizational security measures to protect the limited information we do handle (payment data during the 20-day retention period).
International Users
Duck Protocol is operated from the United States. Users from other countries acknowledge that their limited data (payment information) may be processed in the United States.
